As long-time members of the Association and Historic Properties Commission, Ann and Robert decided to use these contributions to enrich the Association’s Historic Sites section of our website, and further educate the general public about the importance of historic preservation. Ann has written numerous reports on historic properties in Lincoln County, and her reports on the Wallace Alexander House and Wallace Reinhardt House are included in the navigation bar to the right. Who Are Ann & Robert Dellinger: Robert and Ann have been members of the Association for over thirty years. Ann has served as secretary and historian of the Association’s board of directors. She has written many article for the Association’s newsletter, and has edited numerous Association publications that include Lincoln County Heritage: 1997, Images of America: Lincoln County, Images of America: Lincoln County Revisited, Images of America: Lincolnton – From the Collection of Clyde C. Cornwell, and In Our Own Words: The Story of Lincoln County. Ann has researched and written historic designation nominations for numerous properties in Lincoln and Gaston counties for historic properties commissions in both counties. Robert was appointed as one of the first members of the Lincoln County Historic Properties Commission during the 1980s, and has served as a member of the Association’s Exhibits Committee. Both Robert and Ann have been active in the Gaston-Lincoln Genealogical Society for many years. Ann is also a member of the Burke County Genealogical Society and is currently serving as registrar of the Jacob Forney Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution. They are active members of Saint Paul’s Lutheran Church in Crouse, where Ann teaches Sunday school and Robert is assistant organist.2007 Heritage Award Contributors – In honor of Robert and Ann Dellinger: Robert and Martha Abernethy

The Lincoln County Historical Association and Lincoln County Historic Properties Commission honored Robert and Ann Dellinger with the 2007 Heritage Award on Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Historic St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Lincolnton. Forty people honored Robert and Ann with contributions to the Lincoln County Historical Association that totaled over $1,000. The list of contributors is included below.
