Lincolnton’s Hospital

Nestled in the historic and quaint neighborhood along South Aspen Street in Lincolnton, Crowell Hospital stands as a local landmark.  The Lincoln Hospital opened on March 11, 1907, under the supervision and leadership of Dr. L.A. Crowell and Dr. R.W. Petrie.  In 1936 the Crowell family incorporated the hospital and changed the name to Crowell Memorial Hospital in honor and memory of Dr. Crowell’s son, Dr. Gordon Bryan Crowell, who died in 1926.  The hospital became Brian Nursing Centers in 1985 and is now owned by Ralph Carpenter.
